Jean jacket + suede dress + plaid scarf + booties= perfect fall outfit. Call me basic, but it’s my no-brainer, go-to when it comes to getting dressed in the fall. Let’s take a moment to talk about this electric blue satchel. It’s amazing, right? The designer is Shop Taxidermy and they’re based out of Charleston. They can make a bag in any shape and color. They even make jackets and Converse sneakers, which you may have seen on the Kardashians…
Can you believe summer 2016 is coming to an end? Is it just me or did it fly by! I always love Labor Day as it’s the last hurrah before the temperatures start to shift. After Labor Day I start transitioning my wardrobe over to fall. I use the holiday as my last chance to get in my summer looks, those white jeans, nautical shifts and light tees with shorts.
This Duffield Lane dress has been a staple for the summer months. It’s super flattering with an A-line cut to show off the waist. The gold buttons and navy accents are classic details that make this dress chic and effortless. A little dress like this is perfect for a weekend at the beach, a summer BBQ or even a dinner date at your favorite restaurant!
What’s your Labor Day outfit?
Who’s ready for fall? This girl is! Fall is my favorite season, I love chunky knits, cozy scarves, cute riding boots and chic tweed dresses. This one from Sail to Sable is sure to be on repeat as the temperatures drop. I’ll layer it over a button down with boots for a casual work look and then with patterned heels and fun accessories for entertaining… it’s the ideal hostess dress!
I’ve always been a fan of Sail to Sable since they launched a few years ago and have amassed quiet the collection of their tunics and party dresses. They’re perfectly preppy but in a modern way and always have superb attention to detail like an exposed chunky zipper on the back of this dress.
What’s your favorite piece to wear when entertaining?
Have you heard of the 5 love languages? While words of affirmation might be the language I respond to best, I have to admit that gifting is the language I speak to others. I pride myself on thinking of creative and thoughtful gifts and putting together themed gift baskets and going overboard with wrapping paper and ribbon. I recently discovered Hello Dobson, an adorable online boutique with lifestyle pieces created by the super cute Blair Dobson. The shop includes art, decor and accessories ranging in prices from $38 to $136… making it perfect for gifting all the gals in your life.
These silk tassel earrings come in just about every color you can think of and are so glam. They’d make an ideal gift for my besties (just call us the Tassel Team!). Not only are the products well made but the packaging is a gift in itself.
Who would you give these tassels to and what color? Stay tuned for more Hello Dobson pieces in #patriciaspalace
My first RocksBox came in and it did not disappoint. Do you know of RocksBox? It’s a monthly subscription service where they send you three different jewelry styles each month, you wear them and when you’re done simply mail them back (with the prepaid box) and get a new set! Of course though, if you fall in love with a particular style you’re able to buy it at a super discounted price. The best part? It’s only $19 a month and has brands like Kendra Scott, Loren Hope and Gorjana coming to your door. Wait though, it gets better… use code pmaristchxo and get your first month FREE! You’re welcome.
When you sign up, you’re asked to fill out a style quiz so that their stylist can pick out looks you’ll absolutely love. My first box same with a Kendra Scott tassel necklace, Loren Hope cuff and House of Harlow long necklace. I can honestly say all the pieces were so me and I’ve been wearing them on repeat. So, what are you waiting for?
The other day I got to thinking, why is it now socially acceptable to wear yoga pants in public when you aren’t actually going to a yoga class but not golf or tennis activewear when you aren’t actually going to the club? Why?! My campaign for 2016 is not to make America great again but to make it acceptable to wear golfwear while running errands. Who’s with me, America?
Maybe it’s the adorable prints and comfy slight stretch in the fabric of the designs by Sydney Elizabeth but I want to wear her designs 24-7, on or off the course. Her designs are made in the USA and I love that she’s another young entrepreneur full of talent. This skirt though reminds me of my Lily Pulitzer ones and I’d easily pair it also with a pink silk tank and wedges for an out to dinner look. Way more versatile than yoga pants, people!
Would you judge me on the fact that this skirt is literally the same exact print as my headboard? When I like something, I like it… what can I say. I’ve had my eye on this Party Skirt’s palm print skirt for ever but couldn’t justify spending the $275. When I found this version for half the price I didn’t question it. Don’t you love a good deal?
Another good deal was this vintage purse I found at an antique store while in South Carolina. I’d seen it on Luella June and wanted one for myself. I was shocked when I scored the vintage version for $23 when the modern one sells for $98.
This might be the comfiest and coolest dress I’ve worn. I purchased it months ago from Tuckernuck but it just recently made its way to the front of my closet. The nylon/spandex combo is cool against the skin and figure flattering as it just skims the body. Add a hat and shades and your accessorized for dinner after a day at the pool or beach.
Seven tassels in one outfit?! Can you even handle it?! With MY tassel obsession I certainly can’t. We already know that I own more colors of Lisi Lerch tassel earrings than I can even keep track of, but this dress? I think I need it in every color too (side note: I haven’t found it in other colors). It’s so light and breezy, perfect for those hot days but really, it’s all in the details. From the embroidery to the tassels and these gathered cuffs that make the perfect pouffy sleeve. Basically you NEED this boho beauty in your closet.
My closet imitates my home when it comes to patterns, specifically mixing them! A pattern that’s always a classic? Stripes! So when you mix two different stripes together only good things can happen. But I don’t just mix stripes with stripes, I also am a big supporter of stripes and leopard, polka dots and of course, florals!
I purchased this skirt months ago, and love how you can wear it casually with a tee and sneakers, or dress it up with scrappy sandals and a silk cali. This look however, would be perfect for the Fourth of July.
